Civil Society plays an essential role in promoting volunteering and active participation in general. Involvement in voluntary activities can support youngsters in the development of new skills and competences, useful for the development of their personal and professional capacities. This promotion of this idea was the main aim of the project.
The youth exchange called “The Art Studio of Diversity” brought together 36 active and motivated young people from 6 countries (Armenia, Georgia, Russia, Italy, Poland and Romania), who got the chance to interact in a multicultural environment in Tsakhkadzor, Armenia and to discuss issues related to volunteering and civic activism.
Three different workshops were conducted: theatre, crafts (clay, painting) and photography/video. The participants used the abovementioned tools to exchange views and ideas on volunteering and its role in the democratization process. Finally, the outputs of the workshops were presented in an exhibition, which was aimed at disseminating the results of the project and promoting the concepts of volunteering and the importance of active participation among young people.
