Civic Forum NGO hosted a seven day training course entitled “Go4iNGO” which brought together 37 young people from different parts of Europe, including Bulgaria, Poland, Lithuania, Slovenia, Italy, Romania, Armenia, Georgia, Moldova, Ukraine and Belarus. The project was aimed at strengthening the capacities of youth organizations by introdrucing and promoting the effecttve usage of the social media tools and platforms in their everyday work.
The objectives of the training course included: introducing social media tools and methods to the participants; showing the usage of the latters in the NGOs strating from staff management and intra-organization communication to project management, fundraising, NGO branding, etc.; raising awareness on tools and methods for online campaigns and online volunteering; creating an informal network for sharing of good practices and developing future cooperation plans.
The training course was based on non formal learning methodology, which gave a chance to the participants to be actively involved in all the sessions and activities. The activities included small group works, discussions, workshops, role plays, outdoor and teambuilding exercizes, debriefing and evaluation sessions. All the activities were designed to meet the needs and expectations of the participants.
The project took place in Yerevan, Armenia from 5-13 June 2014.
